Attractions:
The national monuments are truly spectacular. The best time to see them is at night when they are illuminated, less crowded and parking is easier. During daytime visits, take a tour bus. Listen to informative park ranger talks and you won’t have to negotiate congested city traffic.

Listen to all types of music at WolfTrap Farm Park dedicated to the performing arts. Outdoor concerts are featured in the summer and indoor performances are held the rest of the year. The park is located in Vienna, Virginia, just 20 minutes from Washington, DC.

The Lincoln memorial on the 12th of February is certainly worth visiting but the view from the steps toward the Mall is breathtaking. Also take the short walk to the Korean War Memorial which will place you on the battlefield.
Chinese New Year - late January / early February, celebrations for the Chinese New Year start with dancers, dragons, firecrackers and parades through Washington and continue for ten days.
Black History Month - throughout February, the Smithsonian Institution holds a number of special events and cultural programs during February.
